Stage 4 will climb Ventoux on the Malaucene side - but will only go as far as Mont Serein Ski Station. The course will pass through Bedoin, and climb the 3rd Categorie Col de la Madeleine (not the famous Madeleine) on the way to Malaucene. I am guessing that there will be snow at the top and the road will be impassable at that time of the year. I can recall a lot of Paris-Nice races where there was snow on the ground on the flat stages! Yes, St Chamond - Croix de Chaubouret is a famous local climb; I have tagged my photos taken on that way (http://www.flickr.com/photos/pf8468/tags/pn2008/); on that side, some parts of the climb are difficult because there are no hairpins ;-), the road is steep and straight; that is where I plan to go & see them; there’s nothing like seeing the pro riding on a road you know well…makes you really measure how fast they are ! Sí, St Chamond - Croix de Chaubouret es un famoso local de ascenso; tengo marcados mis fotos tomadas en esa manera (http://www.flickr.com/photos/pf8468/tags/pn2008/); por ese lado, algunas partes de la subida son difíciles porque no hay horquillas ;-), el camino es recto y empinado, que es donde tengo previsto ir y verlos; no hay nada como ver el pro montar en una carretera que conozco muy bien… te hace realmente medir la rapidez con que son!
