Stage 4 will climb Ventoux on the Malaucene side - but will only go as far as Mont Serein Ski Station. In other words the finish will be almost 500 metres vertical below the summit of Ventoux. Em outras palavras o acabamento serão quase 500 metros vertical abaixo da cimeira de Ventoux. The course will pass through Bedoin, and climb the 3rd Categorie Col de la Madeleine (not the famous Madeleine) on the way to Malaucene. O curso irá passar por Bedoin, e escalar a 3 ª Categorie Col de la Madeleine (não o famoso Madeleine) sobre a maneira de Malaucene. In fact, if you are climbing in the summer, this extension makes the perfect loop (climb one side, descend the other, link back via Madeleine). I am guessing that there will be snow at the top and the road will be impassable at that time of the year. Estou a adivinhar que vai haver neve no topo e as estradas intransitáveis será nessa altura do ano. I can recall a lot of Paris-Nice races where there was snow on the ground on the flat stages! Posso lembrar um monte de Paris-Nice corridas onde havia neve no chão sobre os planos fases!

Yes, St Chamond - Croix de Chaubouret is a famous local climb; I have tagged my photos taken on that way (http://www.flickr.com/photos/pf8468/tags/pn2008/); on that side, some parts of the climb are difficult because there are no hairpins ;-), the road is steep and straight; that is where I plan to go & see them; there’s nothing like seeing the pro riding on a road you know well…makes you really measure how fast they are ! Sim, St Chamond - Croix de Chaubouret é um local famoso subir; tenho marcou minha fotos tiradas por essa via (http://www.flickr.com/photos/pf8468/tags/pn2008/); desse lado, algumas partes do escalar são difíceis porque não existem hairpins ;-), o caminho é íngreme e reta; que é onde eu pretendo ir e vê-las; não há nada como ver o pro equitação, numa estrada que você sabe que você faz bem… realmente medir a velocidade são!
