Woohooo! I cross the finish line at today’s Tour of Switzerland well before the pros - my first stage victory!
My legs needed a day off, but the sirens of the Dauphiné were calling my name.
On a last second whim, I jumped in the car to the base of Col du Granier - the first climb in today’s race.

Another great day watching the Dauphinée Libéré.
Today the Dauphinée climbed the Salève, the super steep climb behind my house.
Wow, I am tired!
Attracting several thousand riders, the Time-Megeve cyclosportive is one of the bigger cycling events in France.
I am making good use of the mountain behind me so far this year.
The Cyclotour du Léman has several thousand people cycling around Lake Geneva.
There is also a mountain route through the Juras (only about 160 people) and since I circled the lake last year, this year I chose “La Montagnarde.”
First, let me be clear, I am fine (although you’ll notice that my sunglasses weren’t as lucky). The Doctor said that it’s OK for people to now mock me.
The plan was to cycle up Col de la Joux Verte.
I knew the road was still closed, but it’s been so warm we thought with mountain bikes that we’d be OK.
