Yikes.  After climbing the Col de la Cayolle in the morning (60 kms there and back) I had an itch to climb the legendary South side of Izoard (Doreen and I both climbed the North side on Sunday.   It is HARD (rated Hors Categorie) and my legs were bien cuit (cooked) after 6 big days in a row.  But we were leaving the region so …. why not.  The Tour climbed just over a week ago, so plenty of fresh road art. Yikes. Após subir o Col de la Cayolle de manhã (60 kms lá e volta) Eu tinha uma coceira para escalar o lendário lado Sul da Izoard (Doreen e eu tanto escalou o lado Norte no domingo. É difícil (nominal Hors Categorie ) E os meus pés eram bien cuit (cozida), após 6 dias em uma grande fila. Mas nós fomos deixando a região tão…. Razão pela qual não. O turismo subiu pouco mais de uma semana atrás, tão cheia de doces estrada art.

I knew it would be painful and it was.  I asked Doreen not to drive too far ahead as I might quit.  But after an awful first 45 minutes I finally started to get a rhythm and did OK on the last very steep 7 kilometres (averaging +9% with short stretches much steeper).  An antique car parade was descending, I could hear thunder as a storm threatened, and my legs were screaming.  Net, very noisy.  I would have quit without Doreen’s constant cheering and support. Eu sabia que seria doloroso e que era. Perguntei Doreen a não conduzir demasiado longe como eu poderia sair. Porém, após um terrível primeiro 45 minutos de que finalmente começou a ter um ritmo e fez o último em OK muito íngreme 7 quilômetros (média +9% Em trechos curtos muito acentuado). Um carro antigo desfile era descendente, eu podia ouvir trovão como uma tempestade ameaçava, e as minhas pernas estavam gritando. Net, muito barulhenta. Eu teria sem sair da Doreen constante festejar e de apoio.

Woohoo.  Am I exhausted.  But content.  2,360 metres (Almost 8,000 feet) up. Woohoo. Estou esgotado. Mas conteúdo. 2360 metros (8000 pés Quase) para cima.
