Beautiful Beaufort - home of the famous cheese - is surrounded by Alps. Beautiful Beaufort - hogar del famoso queso - está rodeada por los Alpes. Today I climbed the “Classic” Col du Joly. Hoy he subido el "Classic" Col du Joly.
It’sa quiet, beautiful climb through a long, “dead-end” valley. Es una zona tranquila, bonita ascensión a través de un proceso largo, "callejón sin salida" valle. The final 10 kilometres climbs out of the valley up to the Col unveiling unbelievable views of nearby Mont Blanc. The top is part of the Les Contamines ski station. La parte superior es parte de Les Contamines la estación de esquí. At the Col, there are literally dozens of signed hiking trails of varying degrees of difficulty. En la Col, hay literalmente decenas de senderos firmado con diferentes grados de dificultad. The road is a dead-end although it is possible to mountain bike up from the other side - with some pushing.
