Today, my mother e-mailed me the photo on the left of her mother cycling with some friends. Aujourd'hui, ma mère e-mail-moi la photo sur la gauche de sa mère à vélo avec des amis. It goes great with an old photo I already had of my grandad. Il va très bien avec une vieille photo j'avais déjà de mon Grandad. I love these old photos. J'adore ces vieilles photos. Both taken sometime in the 1920’s, I believe. Les deux prises parfois dans les années 1920, je crois.
It seems, my grandfather was quite a racer. Il semble, mon grand-père était un coureur tout à fait. When my mother visited in the summer she gave me a cycling medal that he had won for a 12 hour race in the 1920’s. Lorsque ma mère s'est rendue à l'été, elle m'a donné une médaille vélo qu'il avait gagné de 12 heures course dans les années 1920. Yikes, 12 hours! Yikes, 12 heures!
I must admit I can really can see the resemblance between my grandmother and my younger brother (honestly Jonny). Je dois admettre que je peut vraiment voir la ressemblance entre ma grand-mère et mon frère cadet (honnêtement Jonny).

Fortunately, my niece Molly looks ready to carry on the family cycling tradition. Heureusement, ma nièce Molly semble prêt à porter sur la famille la tradition du vélo.

This is great! This is great! I wish I had some family photos like this. J'aimerais avoir quelques photos de famille comme celui-ci. My father used to tell me about his cycling trips around Germany immediately after World War 2 but there are no pictures. Mon père avait l'habitude de me parler de son vélo en Allemagne immédiatement après la Première Guerre mondiale 2, mais il n'ya pas de photos. I have a nice picture of my grandparents sitting in an open taxi in front of the Reichstag in 1924, but it is not the same thing at all. J'ai une belle photo de mes grands-parents assis dans un taxi en face du Reichstag en 1924, mais ce n'est pas la même chose du tout.
