Today, my mother e-mailed me the photo on the left of her mother cycling with some friends. Hoje, minha mãe me correio electrónico, a foto do lado esquerdo da mãe de bicicleta com alguns amigos. It goes great with an old photo I already had of my grandad. Ele vai grande com uma velha foto eu já tinha da minha Grandad. I love these old photos. Eu adoro essas fotos antigas. Both taken sometime in the 1920’s, I believe. Ambas as tomadas algures na década de 1920, creio eu.
It seems, my grandfather was quite a racer. Aparentemente, o meu avô era um jogador bastante. When my mother visited in the summer she gave me a cycling medal that he had won for a 12 hour race in the 1920’s. Quando a minha mãe visitados no verão ela deu-me uma medalha de bicicleta que ele tinha ganho 12 horas para uma corrida na década de 1920. Yikes, 12 hours! Yikes, 12 horas!
I must admit I can really can see the resemblance between my grandmother and my younger brother (honestly Jonny). Devo confessar que posso realmente pode ver a semelhança entre a minha avó eo meu irmão mais novo (honestamente Jonny).

My father used to tell me about his cycling trips around Germany immediately after World War 2 but there are no pictures.
