Funny Video: ” Kid In Bike Race”

By Will • May 8th, 2008 • Category: Cycling

A funny video:

Translation of beginning: ” A battle of giants is taking place at the front of the peleton as the riders approach the most difficult climb of the race. Attention! Look! What is that? A child in the middle of the peleton! Incredible!, etc”

Petit puce = “little thumb” and is a term of affection towards little kids.

I believe it is a test idea to a possible TV commercial. Thoughts?

Will is Happiest while cycling uphill. More enthusiastic than talented, his 2008 Challenge is to (again) cycle 160,000 metres of vertical ascent.

  1. You are right Will. This was part of a TV commercial. If I remember well, this was shown on swiss TV last year. Not sure if it was for the Tour de Suisse or the TdF. I think it was for a special kids meal at McDonalds. No kidding. I thought it was pretty hilarious when I saw the commercial first.

  2. That’s hillarious.

  3. That’s an awesome video. Who cares what they’re selling with it, they should get an award.

    A great find, Will.

  4. Just saw this commercial on TV tonight - it was for Gatorade. “When water isn’t enough…”

  5. I want whatever that kid is drinking!!

    Jelly

  6. Every kids dream! Heck… one of our dreams. Just to try to ride (suck the tires) on one climb with the peloton. That would be awesome. Good stuff Will!

  7. Man, I for one would love to do that at least twice. I’m w/ you Jelly, I’ll have some of whatever’s in his squeeze bottle!! If it’s a commercial, I hope it makes it national. Great Video!!!!!!!

  8. So apparently it was a gatorade video and an english version was launched in the USA a few days ago.

I hope it does well so we see some more.
