Investigating Sunday’s Tour Route

0

I met Kiwi friend Scott at his campground at Talloire on Lake Annecy and we rode up Col de Bluffy to Thones to ride the first two (minor) climbs on Sunday’s upcoming Tour de France route: the Col de Marais and the Col de l’Epine (opposite direction of a recent ride). Lots of bikers out with Saturday’s huge mountain stage nearby. Should be fun.

Three flat tires as I have a problem with my wheel tape that my bike mechanic screwed up when fixing a different wheel problem. Scott (AKA the genius) stuck a gel pack over the rough part and we made it home on the last tube. I was worried about a second car rescue. Grumble. Beautiful route though.
