Mont Revard towers above Lac Bourget (the biggest lake in France). Mont Revard torri sopra Lac Bourget (il più grande lago in Francia). The little ski stations up higher have been devastated by the warm weather, and I only saw kids tobogganing. The lookout at the top of Mont Revard (1535 metres) sits on a sheer cliff overlooking the Lake with Mont Chat (one of my favorite climbs) on the other side. This is a far more interesting road, and shortens the route - in other words its a steep detour, but I would recommend it to anyone looking for a tougher climb.
