Simon posted a comment describing how great this route was. That was all the motivation I needed.
I love climbs to Alpine dams/lakes. And the ascent to Lac de Moiry has to be one of the hardest.
Sometimes just a small detour can lead to amazing sights.
I think there is nothing more beautiful than an alpine lake surrounded by alps.
