Beautiful day. Martin and I did a big loop around Lake Annecy via Col de l’Epine, Col du Marais and Col de Bluffy.



Col de la Forclaz - and Cycling Graffiti

One of the fun parts of riding in the Alps is reading the cycling graffiti on the roads.

Today’s route still has remnants of 2004 Tour de France Graffiti - including several artistic polka dot tributes to French hero Richard Virenque.



Lake Annecy Loop via Col de la Forclaz

Forclaz is only an 8km climb but its very steep. Note the 13% grade road sign on the right side of Martin in the photo below.
Great ride and pizza and frites in old Annecy afterwards.

Stunning but very Hazy view of the lake below.

Col des Contrebandiers
