Wij hadden door Gstaad aan Villars gisteren - gedreven en de lange manier moeten nemen aangezien Col. de la Croix wegens sneeuw nog gesloten is.

Dit cirkelt paradijs met ondertekende routes overal, volkomen opgedoken wegen omhoog hoge, en landschap om te sterven voor.

De Franse Alpen zijn primitief en opwekkend. Maar de Zwitserse Alpen altijd schijnen mooie beeld-prentbriefkaar.

62ste Tour DE Romandie begon vandaag. Romandie (Romandy) is het Franse gebied van Zwitserland zodat is de volledige Reis dichtbij me. Eric, Katy en ik ging op prologue op de meervoorzijde van Genève van de binnenstad letten.

Ik wist het een stom idee was, maar minstens had ik een reserveplan.

Oh, en geen parkeren uw tank hier!

I’d like to think I may have taught Martin some great Swiss cycling routes and also introduced him to the challenges of cycling uphill.

But there is no doubt that he has taught me the most important aspect to my cycling routine: The post ride meal / beer session.

COLD! I am really pushing this late season climbing thing. But I had plenty of layers and my balaclava. So the descent wasn’t too horrible. Another great Jura mountain climb route without seeing a single car.

As the weather gets colder, I am making good progress towards my target - with a little more than 20,000 metres of ascent left - hopefully the weather will hold.
The highlight of September was without doubt 3 days cycling in the Berner Oberland in Swiss Alps.

OK cycling season in the high (and medium) Alps is winding down for 2007. I awoke this morning to snow in Zermatt, the beautiful car-free swiss ski village below the Matterhorn - and had a terrible time renting a bike.
