Vallée Verte: Cols Moises, Arces, and Feu

Bike route 338573 – powered by Bikemap

When the cold north Bise wind blows, it can be cold but also very clear.

Today’s goal was to get as quickly as possible (on scenic roads) from Geneva to the Cols that lead into the beautiful Vallée Verte.

And then enjoy some nice climbing on three interesting and extremely quiet roads. Lots of views of Lac Léman to the north and snowy mountains to the south.

Vallée Verte Iron Cyclist Col des Moises Col du Feu

It had been too long since Martin and I had ridden together, and cycling this fairly challenging route in Eric’s wake was a great way to catch up.

PS – Thanks to Katy and Eric for a great post ride meal!

is Happiest while cycling uphill. More enthusiastic than talented, his 2013 Challenge is to cycle a 150 Cols (mountain passes), slowly -- and to just enjoy.

  1. Brings back happy memories guys :)

But whats it with you Canadians and log piles?

  2. We missed you on the ride Slogfester but took comfort that you were riding too in the UK.

Speaking of the UK, it seems that it is not just Canadians who are into piles of logs… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clPYfaTvHT0 :-)
