Looking for a 2011 calendar that features some of the most famous Alps cycling climbs in France, Italy, and Switzerland?
I have made two. They both use the same photos, but the smaller calendar has an extra cover page photo.
To purchase, click either of the photos below and you will be redirected to the QOOP.com site – orders are placed directly with them.
Medium – $14.99 – 8.5″ x 13″
Large – $24.99 – 13″ x 19.5″
A few quick points:
- I am making no money from this. The price is just what is charged by the printing company QOOP. Orders are placed directly with them.
- I am not (even remotely) a professional photographer. All the photos are taken using a portable digital camera. But the quality of the photos has turned out well even for the larger calendar.
- While there are cyclists (sometimes me) in a few photos, I have tried to pick photos that highlight the beauty of the climbs.
- Each climb is labeled in the calendar version.
The climbs include: Passo Gavia, Col du Galibier, Col de la Madeleine, Alpe d’Huez, Col du Glandon, Passo dello Stelvio, Col de la Colombière, Mont Ventoux, Col du Tourmalet, St. Gotthard Pass, Col de la Croix Fry, and Passo Sella. Each climb is labeled on the calendar.
Preview of all the photos (of course, they each come with a calendar page in the finished product):

Hi Will. What an excellent idea! The perfect gift… You really should have charged $5-$10 a piece for your trouble. Thanks a lot for your effort!
Very beautiful calendar Will. Stunning pictures. And yes I agreee with Jesper, you should have charged a bit for your work ! 😉
thanks guys, not expecting big sales … but I am buying a couple 😉
Perhaps you should also think about a “great climbs” book. The ones I have seen are interesting but lacking in detail and could be done better.
With your experience and records you could probably turn out a great climbophiles tome…
Good morning:
I would like to order the calendar for my son’s BB which is this Saturday. Will I be able to get the calendar on time by Friday, Oct 8? I live in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
Many thanks, Paula
Hello Paula,
As I understand it, it takes 3-5 business days to print and then it depends on which delivery option you choose. So unfortunately, probably not possible by Oct 8th,
Regards,
Will
big, very big
Hi Will,
Got my calendars today – the big ones (and they are in fact a bit bigger than I expected :-)). Beautiful pictures and very nice quality of paper! Thanks again for your effort.
Cheers, Jesper
Jesper,
Excellent! Glad to hear the quality is OK. Thanks for the note,
I love the calendars – what a steal! I’m buying them this year for those friends and neighbours who usually get $20 gifts at Christmas. I’ll get the small ones and donate the difference to my favorite children’s charity. Concider it your profit!
