Merry Christmas to everyone. I enjoyed my annual Santa ride, this time up the steep side of Mont Salève. Usually the top should be closed due to snow, but it’s currently a heat wave.
Col de Crozet, in the French Jura mountains, is an excellent, very quiet, unpaved road up through a small ski station. This is a perfect mountain bike climb to get “above the clouds”
A truly beautiful mountain bike cycling climb to Col de Balme, surrounded by views of snowy peaks and a glacier or two. Map, photos, etc.
Enjoying Paris by bike, visiting all the typical tourist sites. Map and photos.
Very challenging, super scenic, five col mountain bike loop up to Les Grandes Platières (2480m). With amazing views of Mont Blanc at the summit.
Two beautiful, quiet cycling climbs in the Hautes Alpes. I’ll need to return when there is less fog so I can enjoy the famous views from Notre Dame de la Salette. Map, photos, etc.
