71.7 km Well, after seeing Doreen complete her marathon yesterday – it was easy to be motivated. Did the tour de vuache from home – a loop around a mini -mountain and felt great after the rest days. Total distance 3,354 km will-davies.com

0.0 km but 42.2 km for Doreen! Well, Sunday I had a good excuse not to cycle. I watched my brave wife run the Geneva marathon – her first. See link below for pictures of her running. I’m very proud of her.

34.0 km Lousy weather again – uggh.

0.6 km Lousy weather and a motivation lull has made for a poor week of cycling. I got on my bike, started, and the heavens opened up. I wimped out.

45.1km I passed a guy on a hill who seemed reasonably strong. He caught up to me on the descent and we rode together for an hour. A very nice guy: Roland. Turns out he is 73. I hope I am as fit as him when I’m am 53! Total distance 3,248.8 km

30.2 km I felt great, but decided to rest my legs a bit in anticipation of some good weekend rides. Very hard to slow myself down and keep my heart-rate below a certain level. But a nice relaxing ride on a beautiful day. Total distance 3,182.4 km will-davies.com
