Bike route 239092 – powered by Bikemap

This unbelievable loop is the first stretch of the Maratona dles Dolomites – but today I did it in the opposite direction – counterclockwise.

Near Passo Sella

Starting from Corvara, there are four climbs: Passo Gardena, Passo Sella, Passo Pordoi, and Passo Campolongo.

Today, I took it easy just enjoying the views and taking some photos:

At the top of Passo Pordoi is the Coppi monument:

Will is Happiest while cycling uphill. More enthusiastic than talented, his 2010 Challenge is to cycle a 100 Cols (mountain passes), survive La Mamrotte again, and complete at least one century a month.

  1. Ciao Will, i came by your site whilst looking for somewhere in Europe to set up a cycle-tour business with my wife (I retire in less than 3 years (aged 50)).
I haven’t taken time to have a good look through the content but I just wanted to say that I really like what I’ve seen so far. You’ve gotta be proud of what you’ve done so far, good on you.
    Many thanks,

    Nige.

  2. Great pictures Will. A really scenic loop that I will always remember.

  3. [...] The classic loop with 4 passes. The first 55 kms of the Maratona course but in the opposite direction. Paradise. Details here. [...]
