At the 2012 Dauphiné Prologue. Cadel Evans (then the reigning Tour de France Champ) signs an autograph for another yellow jersey. He also gave him his cap. A very nice moment.

In 2012, I did more big and high climbs on non-paved roads than usual. In the Valais region of Switzerland, a warm November allowed me to sneak up high, heading up into the snow.

Early one bright June morning, descending the south side of Galibier, I heard, then saw, a chatty group of Italians absolutely flying up the mountain. I just found this photo cheerfully inspiring:
In summary
2012 was a fun year taking photos on the bike. As I look for new adventures in 2013, I may introduce the hay surfing category for next year’s “awards.”

Le col du Pré est quasi imbattable avec cette vue… Et on ne se lasse pas de cette photo du Japonais avec le poulet, c’est pour ça aussi que qu’on aime bien le Tour 😆
