The Kiental valley is dominated by the snow-covered peaks of Blumlisalp at the far end – the goal today was to get as high possible on my hybrid bike.

Andermatt can be the start point for four beautiful +2000 metres passes (Furka, Susten, Gotthard and Oberalp).

A simple there and back route, up the scenic but not too difficult Col des Montets and Col de la Forclaz.
I had hoped to cycle up the Jaunpass during the Tour de Romandie a couple of weeks ago, but the climb was canceled due to snow(!) up high.
Another great climb up to an Alpine hydro-electric dam/lake.
26.6 kilometres and 1680 metres (5500 feet) of ascent – this is a gigantic and beautiful ride well worth the visit.
