I’m thinking of doing this one on Sunday. I have a road bike with wide rims and 32mm tyres. I’ve done the off road climb past the lac du Loup from the col de Chaussy on it with touring gear on, and that’s *rough* so I’m hoping this one will be OK. How is the surface?
It’s been a while. But it’s pretty good. 32mm tires is doable. For me, long descents can be tough though. I’ve done Assietta on 35c tires and with mountain bike. Mountain bike is just more comfortable on the downhill parts.
