It’s been a beautiful autumn. The last few weeks, I’ve been doing a lot of local riding. Particular up my “home” climb: Mont Salève. So just a quick post with a few photos celebrating the colours.

The steepest way up Mont Salève averages 12% for 4 middle kilometres. And it has a bunch of truly great hairpins.

Often during autumn here it is overcast for days. But one can get above the clouds by climbing Mont Saleve:
One of the great things about Mont Salève is that one can cycle for perhaps 10 kilometres along the top of the mountain, with great views of the Jura mountains & Geneva (and its lake) on one side, and the start of the Alps on the other:

So it was a great autumn, but the high (and many mid) Alps climbs are now closed due to snow. But don’t worry, I’ve already started winter cycling:
