I would happily put either side of Grosse Scheidegg on any top ten list of great Alpine cycling climbs.

This weekend I had the good fortune of having the great mountain sport photographer Dan Patittuci show me his favourite “local loop” in the hills just north of Interlaken.

The other day while riding through the vallée verte I saw a path up high in the distance that looked very intriguing.

I was looking to see of it was possible to climb a tiny “road” up to Col de la Charmette.

This weekend Ricardo Ricco, the “Boys from St Etienne,” and I participated in the Ventoux Night Sessions.

As a pre middle-of-the-night ride we cycled this 76 kilometre route – primarily through the magnificent Les Gorges de la Nesque.
