Too much fun. See post for Video.
A Col du Tourmalet mountain top finish? I must have died and gone to cycling heaven. Yes, it is the Queen stage of the 2010 Tour de France. Do not miss this.
Stage 16 celebrates the first great Pyrenées Stage in Tour de France history, in 1910, by including the same four climbs from that stage.
A perfect Bastille day, with three French friends, cycling up the more remote (and more interesting) South side.
If the finish was closer to the top of a mountain, and there wasn’t Tourmalet next week, this might be called the Queen stage of the 2010 Tour.
For anyone that has never seen a stage, this gives a pretty good feel of how much fun it is …. especially the Publicity Caravan.
Stage 8 will be the first Alpine stage in the 2010 Tour de France.
An unbelievably steep, but absolutely stunning route.
Painful fun. 174 kilometres, 5000 metres ascent (+16000 feet), over 3 of the most famous climbs in France.
