Cold, lots of snow, closed roads, fun.
Eric joined me on my favourite local loop. Up Mont Salève via Saint Blaise, across the mountain and descend from Croisette via Le Coin.
The Route passes 5 Cols – see map – but really only climbs two: the small Col de la Croix Biche (@800 metres) and near the high point of the ride, Col des Pitons (@1340 metres).
The road up was closed at the Restaurant Grotte du Diable – and we had to push the bikes for 7 kms through nice powder snow.
A long hike through powder – and my trusty Sorel boots kept my feet VERY warm:

Has Eric got a new job? He looks like he is commuting!
Mr Barry,
No new job/commuting. Just forget about fashion and think about staying warm. As Will says “Happiness is warm feet (and hands)”. This is a work in progress, so don’t be surprised if I start to resemble ever more a clown or a homeless person 😉 Also the NEW bike exists thanks to Will. Perfect for those conditions.
Eric
