Today I saw more waterfalls, glaciers, hairpins, and tunnels than I have ever seen in a single day.
One of the toughest and most beautiful climbs in Swiss Romande
Two more VERY steep climbs in the Swiss Juras.
A simple there and back route, up the scenic but not too difficult Col des Montets and Col de la Forclaz.
I had hoped to cycle up the Jaunpass during the Tour de Romandie a couple of weeks ago, but the climb was canceled due to snow(!) up high.
Another fantastic day cycling and watching the Tour de Romandie. My plan was to cycle…
I brought my photographer today and he filmed my stage victory: (the secret is to leave 2 hours before the peloton).
Excerpt: I was passed by someone that looked suspiciously like Cadel Evans. So I decided to follow him.
Note, in the video , we spoke in French as I don’t speak Australian.
How does a 32 kilometres bike ride take over 5 hours? Ice, Ice, more ice, snow, hiking, etc.
Wow are my legs tired.
I have completed my main 2008 Challenge to cycle 160,000 metres of vertical ascent (or one foot for every minute of the year). There is no doubt that my silly challenges have kept me motivated.
