The road to Epine was signed as closed due to the snow a couple of weeks back – but it was completely clear …. and with the closure also car free.
Col de la Coche shares the first 7 kms with the road to Val Thorens.

What do you do when the cloud cover is at 3000 feet? Cycle up a 4000 foot mountain.
Any second now Col du Galibier will be closed for 7 or 8 months.
Today’s goal was to get as quickly as possible (on scenic roads) from Geneva to the Cols that lead into the beautiful Vallée Verte.
Le Collet d’Allevard will feature in stage 6 of the 2011 Critérium du Dauphiné.
