Another fantastic day cycling and watching the Tour de Romandie. My plan was to cycle both side of Col du Marchairuz and then watch the race up top (map at bottom). The climbs: From Aubonne: Length: 20 kms Ascent: 1050 metres From Le Brassus: Length: 7.4 kms Ascent: 450 metres From Aubonne, the climb to Marchairuz was more challenging than I expected. It’s a perfectly surfaced, wide road. The lake and alps views improve the higher you get. This is just a wonderful route. All the roads are well surfaced, deserted, scenic, and often uphill. Although, I need to write to the local mayors to install some missing Col signs.
